Dragons, drawing, and UGH!

Sooo, a while back I decided to look up drawing tutorials. I like dragons, I wanted to draw one of my own. I also found that you can put your drawings on stuff and people might buy it. How intriguing. So I did that with my first dragon. He was fire. See:

I think he's pretty. I used chalk pastels to color him in. It was fun finger painting with them, but they smudged more than I would like. Now I'm trying another one. It's not coming along as I'd like, but I'll have it later today. I got a box of 100+ crayons, so I might do him in pretty greens. I was thinking Emerald-ish. Once I get enough practice with the head and neck I might do the entire body, but I've found the filling in of muscles on legs and arms don't like to cooperate. Anything circle-ish seems to be beyond me. UGH! I tried to do a unicorn and it looked like a pig. LMAO! I wanna draw faeries with my dragons, but I don't do faces well.
Wish me luck!

Update: He's pretty, but my crayons disappointed me this time. I miss my metallic crayolas. That small set actually had emerald as a jewel color. Believe it or not the gray-black color was called outer space. LMAO. If my scanner was better, you'd see that it's a very dark blue. I think next time I'll do my usual outline with crayon, color with color pencils. I wanted to try out my new crayons. As is obvious, my curves don't always curve. (if anyone cares, the scribble to the side is supposed to be there, I always sign my finished drawings)

Photoshop is great. I made it transparent first to eliminate the smudges from just coloring with crayons. Amazingly enough, I managed to almost get the emerald jewel tone with color adjustment and brightness/contrast. I did it twice because you can only do the green to +100. I think I like him!

Oh My God! I was clicking my little sidebar blog links, to visit my friends. (That's why I keep them there.) When I clicked on my sister's, sweetpea, it was a site with links to CHILD PORN. Apparently she shut hers down and now someone is using the address. I am soooooo offended. I had a link to a site like that!? I apologize to anyone who ended up there by accident. I don't know whether to be sick or pissed off.
She has a site on myspace, so I haven't visited her little blog I made graphics for in a long time. I hate myspace, but my family has sites on it. It's where I've been getting all the baby news and pics from. Ah, well. I'm still gonna tell her though. I wonder what she'll say.
