Camping

Somebody was bitching that I wasn't posting (not naming names!). I have a really good excuse this time. I swear!

Last Friday, we went camping. Supposed to be the whole weekend. Some guy, has a nice cabin with a huge yard down near Fiery Fork. Now, I know only a few will know where that is. So, sue me ok! Well, yard isn't the right word, field is. There were cows when we went down the lake road, hadn't seen them in forever. Didn't know anyone in our area had some. Here's the interesting thing, not the camping, but the freakin' field. They was brush hogging it when we got there. Stupid me, I forgot some things. I took my 24 hour sinus pill around 3pm, long enough for it to kick in before we left. Funny thing that, started wearing off after it got dark, say 9 or so. I could feel my sinuses starting to kick. Been having trouble sleeping too, so I was bitchy and exhausted by the time I went to bed. We won't talk about hubby getting shitfaced and scaring the hell out of me dunking himself in the water by himself with no one to keep an eye on him, making sure he didn't drown. Morning comes and I could feel the tingling up my spine and behind my eyes. Poor thing was still buzzing when I woke his ass up, but I didn't care. I knew what was coming. I had 2 hours or less before my sinuses whacked me, HARD. I thought I was just gonna be sneezing my ass off, unable to see that kind of thing. So, he makes me wait, I beg, that sort of thing. I needed to go home and be indoors and now. Walked over to the grill where breakfast was to be cooked. Well, staggered like a drunk would be more appropriate, felt like anyway. Here I was, no where near the 24 hours being up for more sinus medication. Damn shit worked for 8 hours or less. After a while I was sitting on the steps, oh so careful like. I knew I was balanced real careful-like, but it sure as hell didn't feel that way. I was seeing everything tilted at a 45° angle. I knew I was fucked. Eventually hubby got his breakfast and I could take no more. I says, take me home now! See the thing is the field we were at and the one next to it were both 'mowed' that previous day. Oops, forgot to take that shit into account. He says, well start making your way to the truck. I says, I don't think I can. He walks off to get my stuff. I stand up, wobble, try to take a step, promptly fall over, just managing to catch myself with a hand. Time stops, everyone stares. How embarassing. That's why I was begging to be taken home before my balance was lost. I tried again, stumble more, give up, sit down, cry. I haven't ever been that bad since I was 11 or 12. I couldn't walk, couldn't really stand. See, I was asked a couple questions earlier and answered about my sinuses and got skeptical looks. No one seems to believe how bad my sinuses kick me until they witness it. I hate that. I got the shocked, what the hell is wrong with you looks. Simple answer, I got no balance, I lost it. Even hubby didn't believe it'd happen, of course he's never seen me that bad, cuz I usually retreat indoors when I feel that shit coming on. However, next time I tell him something like that, I think he just might believe me.

I took some of my daytime stuff that works still, cuz I don't take it often enough to be immune to it yet. I was groggy anyway, so I thought nothing of it. However, yesterday reminded me. See, after last saturday, I decided not to go outside even to check the mail. Hell that weekend episode still had my balance buzzing last wednesday. Problems with our car, I go outside. Boy was that stupid. No more than 10 minutes out of doors and BAM! So, I take my daytime shit. See I forgot one of the most important thing of taking any sinus medication. Daytime shit knocks me out. An hour later that medicine kicks in and I'm in bed passed out. Slept for 2 hours, and I had a good nights sleep the night before. I had to drink coffee to counteract the sleepy shit still running in my system. That didn't work well, and about 6 hours later that speeder shit they put in the daytime stuff wore off. I need to get some night time sinus stuff to take during the day. That night stuff, for me, is great for speedy gonzalez type of shit. Makes me hyper and shake a bit. I don't think I'll have too much trouble sleeping at night if I remember to take my daytime sinus medication. Knock me right out. Atleast I think I've found a cure for my insomnia lately, I think. Now I have to search for a new medication, just so I can go outside again. The daytime stuff may still work, but it does me no good if I'm sleeping. Maybe I'll try nyquil again, last time I tried it, I felt like I was on speed or something. I've never taken speed, but I've seen how it works for other people. I just don't like being that zippy. I'm the only person I know with problems like that.

We took pictures when we were camping, when I feel like it, I'll pull them off the camera. If I like them, I might post some.
Later! Oh and happy b-day to trash, I forgot. That's why the present was early. Appearances and all! :)
