'Nessie' the Loch Ness monster
I saw that there monster on my very own tv. LMAO! Can't sleep with hubby snoring like a freight train. I caught this show, and found the premise hilarious. They set out to make a realistic 'Nessie'. It looked very good up close, I'm sure the people who saw it IRL thought it was real. One of the comments was 'It was either a very good hoax or a real living thing'. Another was 'I know it was real'. You get the idea. I'm sure they will re-run it on A&E.
Wow this totally did not go how I thought it would when I was thinking of how to write it. My brain went off on another tangent again. Ya'll should be used to that by now. ;) |
Next Airing: Sun Apr 10, 2005 10:30 AMCheck out the link, it has a full-ish description. There's always going to be urban legends. The yeti and nessie will never die. Just like aliens visiting us, or living among us, or taking us against our will. I'll allow that some people actually see ghosts. However, I believe that many who say or think they do, really do not; they just have overactive imaginations. I'll even throw in that some people can 'see' into the future. However, I believe even fewer than the ghost seers actually can see or predict the future with any accuracy beyond generalizations. You really can't prove that anyone can see the future. I mean, if you knew you or someone you know were going to be hurt/die from something or around a certain time, wouldn't you try to prevent it? Well, then how can you really tell if someone was truthful about the future they saw for you? Urban legends will never die, because there is always someone who will believe it, always someone with an overactive imagination that knows they 'saw' it. And then there are the people who take advantage of those types. Fortune telling is for fun. Ghost sightings are for fun. Never take that shit seriously enough to pay a lot of money to someone who's going to tell you that you have a black cloud in your horizon and 'beware'. From documentary type shows I've seen and people I know: Those that really do have 'paranormal' tendencies tend to not charge you for anything. Beyond that which is required to feed their kids if they don't have another line of work.
This creature feature is all about the lock ness monster, the strange, dinasour-like animal that's supposedly been "sighted" in a Scottish lake for 1,400 years. Animatronics experts accept a unique challenge - to build a life-like monster in an attempt to "prove" that it exists and turn the Loch Ness myth into reality.
